In an absolute world premiere, Austrian trumpeter Lorenz Raab and Swiss jazz pianist Sylvie Courvoisier will perform as a duo at the 2019 Saalfelden Jazz Festival. Not avoiding the classical tensions inherent in the genre, their contemporary jazz oscillates between free improvisation and the clear structures of Courvoisier’s compositions.
